John David Dickinson, Iii

John David Dickinson, III, John 44 of Carlyss, LA went home to be with the Lord on April 16, 2018.  He was born to Genny Gail Vincent Dickinson and John "Dicky" David Dickinson, II on May 24, 1973 in Sulphur, LA. He was a native of Sulphur, and graduated from Sulphur High School and had lived various places throughout his life. 

He was most recently employed by Chicago Bridge & Iron in Lake Charles, LA where he was known to most as J.D. He was a loyal, hardworking man who loved his job and the people he worked with. He also enjoyed attending church at Lighthouse Tabernacle in Sulphur, LA. He was musically gifted. He loved playing various instruments, being outdoors, boat riding, and 4-wheelers. 

He is survived by his only son, Sandan Michael Dickinson (Carlyss, LA); parents, Dicky and Genny Dickinson (Carlyss, LA); sister, Jennifer Lea Gardner and husband Douglas (Pensacola, FL); brother, Jason Scott Dickinson and wife Sara (Carlyss, LA); grandmother, Lillie Mae Burnett (Sulphur, LA); he also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held at Johnson Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur, LA on April 18, 2018 from 4-8 P.M., continuing on April 19, at 8 A.M. until time of the service funeral at 10 A.M with Rev. Paul Alan Upton officiating.  Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines South Cemetery in Carlyss. Special thanks to Lee and Cindy Vincent and Heart of Hospice, especially Courtnie Erbelding for her compassionate care.
