John E. Courville

John E. Courville, 83, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 5:30 PM on Monday, December 4, 2017 in a local care facility.

Mr. Courville was born August 25, 1934 in Eunice, LA and served his country in the U.S. Air Force, where he met the love of his life, Media “Ann” DeLung. He worked as a carpenter and was a member of the Louisiana Carpenter’s Local in Lake Charles. He was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church. He was an avid woodworker and enjoyed gardening and sharing his bounty with those he loved.

Mr. Courville is survived by his daughter, Wylene Lebato of Fort Worth, TX; son, Patrick Courville and wife Valerie of Virginia; “adopted daughter”, Vina Rice and her husband John of Lake Charles; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-eight years, Media “Ann” Courville; his parents, Arestille and Anna Courville; and four brothers; one sisters; four half-brothers; and three half-sisters.

His cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at a later date.
