John Floyd Faul

Iowa – John Floyd Faul, 86, passed away Monday, August 28, 2017 in his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Floyd was born in Lawtell on June 5, 1931 to the late Jean-Baptiste Faul and Mary Virginia LaGrange Faul. He was a truck driver and a member of Teamsters Union 969.
He was an amazing carpenter and owner of Faul’s Mobile Home Park and & Faul’s Paint & Body Shop. He loved Cajun French music and enjoyed tending to his “mini” farm. Floyd never met a stranger and enjoyed sharing a cup of coffee with anyone who would come and visit with him. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his wonderful memory are his wife, Patricia Dale Faul; children, Glenda LaVergne, David Faul and wife, Paula, Kevin Faul and wife, Sherri, Jolene Faul Barbery, Connie Faul Farque and Stephanie Faul; mother of his children, Dolores Faul Guillot; step-children, Glenn Nation, Tammy Leger and husband, Chris; siblings, Joseph Faul and wife, Helen and Alice Phillips; grandchildren, Keith, Kurt, Jeremey, Kyle, Stacy, Jennifer, Marcus, Kaylee, Casey, Justin, Dylan, Hunter, & Brayden; great-grandchildren, Brason, Gage, Kason, Kemper, Kainen, Hadleigh, Nathan, Audrey, Vincent, Kolby, Malli and Raylyn. He is also survived by many tenants who were like family to him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Caleb Broussard; siblings, LouVell Bourque, Enola Theresa Savoy, Mary Melba Faul and son-in-law, Stuart LaVergne.

A Mass of Christian burial will be in St. Raphael Catholic Church on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Father Dismas Mauk officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation is Friday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m., with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will resume Saturday in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
