John "T-John" Gerard, Jr.

John “T-John” Gerard, Jr., born in Pine Island on March 14, 1935, son of the late John and Leona Granger Gerard, passed away in Camelot Brookside Care Center, Saturday, June 7, 2025. He was 90.

T-John was an operator for Lacassine Rice Dryer, also worked for Lacassine Fuel Station and Affordable Auto Glass. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus and a volunteer firefighter. He enjoyed gardening and attending basketball games.

He is preceded in death by his parents; spouse, Mary Joyce Gerard; 5 sisters and 5 brothers.

Survivors are his 2 sisters, Martha Benoit, and Dorothy Begnaud (Robert); many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 10 a.m. Rev. Jom Joseph, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will begin Wednesday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. and will resume Thursday from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
