John Stone, Jr.

John Stone, Jr., 73, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 in the comfort of his home.  John was retired from PPG Industries after 37 years.    John is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kathie McMurry Stone; children, Stacey Martarona (Drew), Blake Stone (Jodi), Brady Stone (Michelle), Samy Littleton (Jason) and Sydna Oakley (Ken); grandchildren, Bailey Dowden (Shane), Mackey and Andey Martarona, Kennedy and Savannah Stone, Chance and Chase Stone, Lawton, Easton and Lennon Littleton and Alden and Everett Oakley; one great grandson, Slade Dowden; one sister, Barbara Newman; four sisters in law, Jo Ellen Stone, Heart Lasater, Maribeth Nelson (Jerry) and Debbie Abel (Doug); and one brother in law, Mark McMurry (Ann).  He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and John Stone, Sr.; one brother, Paul Stone; and two brothers in law, Paul Newman and Robert Lasater.    A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 4-7 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with a sharing of memories at 6:30 PM.    In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or charity of your choice.
