Johnette Demarest

Johnette Marie Demarest, 58, passed away on December 24, 2018 after medical complications.

Johnette was born on June 17, 1960 in Lake Charles where she lived until her final days. She enjoyed refurbishing furniture and antiques in her spare time. Her family fondly remembers her baking pastries.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother, Jean Demarest and pop, Larry Scruton; brother, Harold Demarest; two sisters, Ednide Demarest, and Jackie McDaniel; three nephews; three nieces; eight great-nephews; six great nieces; many loved cousins; and her dog, Sofie.

She is preceded in death by her father, EJ Demarest Sr.; brother, EJ Demarest Jr.; and her dog, Te Fe.

Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. Her ashes will be laid to rest at Consolata Cemetery at a later date.
