Joseph Benoit

Joseph "Joe" Kenneth Benoit, 79, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2026. He was born on September 4, 1946, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Theda and Joseph Benoit.

Joe graduated from Lake Charles High School in 1964 and went on to attend McNeese State College. He proudly served his country in the Louisiana National Guard for six years. Joe dedicated 26 years of service to the Louisiana Department of Labor, where he retired in 2002 as a Labor Compliance Officer.

Joe had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and target shooting. He was a loyal and incredible friend to those who knew him and treasured the time he spent with loved ones.

Those left to cherish his memory include his dear friends, Ernest and Pat LaFleur, Anita Guillory, Carolyn Aymond, Bill and Cam Cox.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Theda Benoit, and his brother, Douglas Benoit.

A memorial service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Friday March 28, 2026 at 12:00pm. Visitation will begin at 11:00am Friday and continue till time of service. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
