Joseph Henry Spears

Joseph Henry Spears, 63, of New Iberia passed away at 12:55 AM on Sunday, December 27, 2020 in a New Iberia hospital.

Joe was born in Kinder, LA on September 13, 1957 and currently resided in New Iberia.  He worked for several tree companies as a brush man.  Joe enjoyed fishing and will be remembered as a kind, friendly man that never met a stranger.

Those left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Thomas Spears of Ragley, Raymond Spears of Westlake, Mervin Spears of Lake Charles, Gladys Franks (Stephen) of Lake Charles, Mary Taylor (Timothy) of Carlyss, and Evelyn Navarre (Mark) of Sulphur, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Emmit Spears and siblings, Howard James Spears, Joyce Mae Lambright, and Rose Yvonne Spears.

Graveside at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Lacassine Cemetery.
