Joseph O. Hidalgo

Joseph Oren Hidalgo, 79, of Westlake, LA passed away on December 30, 2018. Joseph was born on April 19, 1939 in Opelousas, LA to Albert and Eva Lagrange Hidalgo, Sr.

Mr. Hidalgo served his country in the U.S. Air Force and later worked for Firestone and Cintas Uniform Supply. He loved to do crossword puzzles and travel. He especially loved to travel and camp in his RV with his wife, Mary Joyce, the love of his life.

Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 41 years, Mary Joyce and his grandson, Daniel Young.

He is survived by his sons, Chris (Robin) Hidalgo, Troy (Sonya) Hidalgo, Dane (Stephanie) Hidalgo and his daughter, Penny (Denny) Young. He also leaves numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren to cherish his memory.

The family will receive friends at Johnson Funeral Home on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 9AM-2PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home beginning at 2PM. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
