Joseph Carey Ponthieux

Joseph Carey Ponthieux, born in Lake Charles, LA on November 6, 1958, son of the late Wilbert Anthony and Nelda (Cloud) Ponthieux, Sr., passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at the age of 62.
Carey was a graduate of Lake Charles High School, worked for PDI and was a member of Our Saviors Church of Jennings. He enjoyed cooking, motorcycles, watching Andy Griffith Show and being with his family.
Carey is survived by his wife of 20 years, Shawna Ponthieux; daughter, Jordyn Ponthieux; sons, Darren Ponthieux, Joseph Ponthieux; brother, Wilbert Ponthieux, Jr. (Carol); sister, Suzie Ponthieux Johnson (Robert); granddaughter, Kaylee Ponthieux; pet, Bentley Bijoux. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 1 p.m. with, Pastor Josh Belt officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. and continue until the time of service at 1 p.m. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
