Iowa – Joseph David Prudhomme, 73, passed away in a local hospital Sunday, June 18, 2017.
Born in Welsh on January 1, 1944 to the late Sersen and Lelia Mae (Leger) Prudhomme, David worked as an alarm specialist for security companies. He enlisted in the U. S. Army on February 6, 1962 and was honorably discharged on January 22, 1965. David enjoyed fishing in his spare time.
Survivors include his two sons, Greg Prudhomme and wife, Liza of Katy, Texas and Mark Prudhomme of Richmond, Texas; siblings, A. L. Prudhomme of Iowa and Judy LeDoux and husband, Herb of Moss Bluff; 3 grandchildren, Gavin, Halley and Mallory Prudhomme.
Funeral services will be in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 10 a.m. with Father Roland Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. in Johnson and Brown Funeral Home and will continue Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
