Joseph "Joejoe" William Bourque

April 22, 1998 — March 24, 2025

With hearts full of love and sorrow, we celebrate the incredible life of Joseph William Bourque (JoeJoe) who at just 26 years young, made an unforgettable impact on everyone he met. His laughter was contagious, his energy unmatched, and his love for life absolutely limitless.

To know JoeJoe was to experience pure joy-he was the person who could turn any moment into a celebration, always dancing, always singing random songs, shouting out random movie phrases and always making sure those around him felt happiness in the purest form.

Though his years were short, his impact was immeasurable. From young kids to the elderly, JoeJoe had a way of making everyone feel like they were his best friend because in his heart they truly were.

JoeJoe’s energy was infectious, his laughter unmistakable, and everything about him was 100% authentic. He never faked a smile because he never had to-his happiness was real, and he shared it freely with everyone around him. Whether he was cracking jokes, lighting up a room with his presence, or simply being there when someone needed him. JoeJoe had a gift for making life feel lighter, brighter and full of love.

Though our hearts ache, we find comfort in the memories he left behind-the spontaneous dance moves, the off key but heartfelt singing, the jokes that had everyone in tears from laughter. JoeJoe lived life fully and fearlessly, and that’s how we will remember him.

Rest easy JoeJoe. Your song will never stop playing in our hearts because as long as you are with us, there is no place we’d rather be!

JoeJoe took his last trip to Covington, LA and was able to give every possible part of himself with the intention to help as many people as he could.

JoeJoe lived by this scripture. He had it tattooed above his knee, as a reminder to him daily to always hit his knees and praise God.

For though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again, but the wicked are brought down by calamity. Proverbs 24:16
