Joshua Lee Pruitt

Joshua Lee Pruitt, 41, of Lake Charles, passed away suddenly on July 14, 2026.

Josh was a kind, caring, and loving man who was known for helping others. He had a generous heart and would gladly give the shirt off his back to someone in need. Whether it was family, a friend, or a stranger, Josh was always willing to lend a hand.

Josh became a father at a young age, and his son was one of the greatest blessings in his life. He loved him dearly and cherished the time they shared together.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Susan Downey Braselton; his son, Landon LaBauve; his siblings, Rocky Hickingbottom and wife Catrina, and Tatjana Gomez; his nieces and nephews, Amber, Cameron, Justin, Jada, and Tyler Hickingbottom; his great-nephew, Greyson Hickingbottom; his great-niece, Saya Reeves; along with many other family members and friends who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Pruitt; his grandparents; and his aunt, Cindy Downey Kuhlthau, cousin Brannon Kuhlthau, and his son's mother Amber Maas.

Funeral arrangements are undecided at this time.
