Joy Annel Chatagnier Young
March 18, 1950 — August 3, 2024
Iowa – Joy Annel Chatagnier Young, born in Hershey, PA on March 18, 1950, daughter of the late William and Selma (Brown) Chatagnier, passed away August 3, 2024, at the age of seventy-four.
Joy was a graduate of Lagrange High School and was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed painting, gardening, making pottery, shopping, watching classic tv shows, she was an avid New Orleans Saints fan, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors are her children, Lancer Young (Jyhane), Traci Young (Earl Shay), John Young (Brianne), Jake Young (Candice); brother, Thomas Guidry; grandchildren, Tyler, Ginger, Synai, Ailinn, Mia, Jaykub, Alex, Jordan, Ian, Hazel, Colton, Legend, Blake.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bruce Young.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 5 p.m. Cremation will follow the service under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. A gathering of friends and family will begin in the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the time of service at 5 p.m.
