Joyce Lee Bertrand Arceneaux

Lacassine ~ Joyce Lee Bertrand Arceneaux, born in Basile on September 2, 1934, daughter of the late Wesley and Eunice (Courville) Bertrand, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024, at the age of ninety.

Joyce was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and was a Catholic daughter for over 25 years. She enjoyed cooking, visiting with family and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Adie Charles Arceneaux, Sr.; children, Adie Arceneaux, Jr., Lester Arceneaux, and Valerie Bazinet; son-in-law, Johnny LeBlanc.

Survivors are her children, Steve Arceneaux (Peggy), Curtis Arceneaux, Debra Landry (Snook), Jean Babineaux (Glen), Susan Duplantis (Allen), Pat LeBlanc; siblings, Joe Bertrand, Collins Bertrand, Roland “Perch” Bertrand, Jeanette Fontenot; daughter-in-law, LaVerne Arceneaux; son-in-law, Dwayne Bazinet; sister-in-law, Aneed Gaspard; 37 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Friday, November 1, 2024 at 10 a.m. Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Broussard Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will begin Thursday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6 p.m. and will resume Friday in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. Pallbearers assisting in her service are her granddaughters, Monica, Amanda, Jessica, April, Nikki, Crystal, Tabby and Missy.
