Joyce Flores

Joyce Mae Flores, 74, of Vinton, La. passed away on July 16, 2026. She was born October 27, 1951 in Orange, Tx. to her parents, Oran Alvin Gould and Effie Mary Gould. She married Ramon Flores Jr. on December 1, 1976 and together they shared 40 years. Joyce spent most of her life in Vinton, La. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who deeply loved her family. She enjoyed crocheting, visiting family to play dice and cards, and working outside in the yard. She was a faithful member of Magnolia Baptist Church for many years. Joyce lived her life with a strong sense of faith and community. She worked as a CNA where she cared for others with compassion and dedication.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Tina Vincent and husband, Heath of Sulphur, Stephanie Flores and boyfriend, Bruce of Vinton; sons, Rod Flores of Vinton, Gilbert Flores and wife, Shelly of Sulphur, Justin Flores and wife, Ariel of Vinton; sisters, Darlene Gould, Freda Gould, Lois Hodge; seven grandsons, four great grandsons, and three great granddaughters; several nieces and nephews.

Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Ramon Flores Jr.; son, Ramon Flores III; daughter, Ramona Flores; parents, Oran and Effie Gould; sisters, Carolyn Collier, Marilyn Carter, Mary Fisher, Linda Gould, Arlene Wills; brothers, Rodney, Thomas, and Jerry Gould.

Funeral services for Joyce will be held at 6 PM, Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur. The family will receive guest starting on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 4 PM until 7 PM and resume the following afternoon at 4 until time of service on Thursday.
