Juanita Miller Arabie

Juanita Miller Arabie, 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 31, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 25, 1943, in Basile, Louisiana.

Juanita worked as a cafeteria attendant at S. P. Arnett Middle School for 25 years. She loved watching the children grow and took great pride in making sure they were well fed. She also worked at Gillis Grocery for eleven years, where she cut meat and prepared meals. Affectionately known as "La La" by those who knew her there, she became a familiar and beloved face in the community. In her free time, she enjoyed playing bingo, dominos, and bean bag baseball with family and friends. She also loved spending time at the Moss Bluff Senior Center and was an avid collector of teddy bears.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Louis Arabie; her children, Pam Comeaux, Keith Comeaux, and Kevin Comeaux; her stepchildren, Louis Arabie Jr., James Arabie, Lucy Lalonde, Angela Arabie, Donna Lovett, Judy Tramonte, and Billy Joe Arabie; as well as numerous loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Monica Comeaux; and her sisters, Rose Miller and Barbara Miller.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and will continue Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Cemetery.
