Judith Ann Vest Burchfield

Judith Ann Vest Burchfield, born in Iowa, Louisiana on October 4, 1938, daughter of the late Vivian Vird Vest and Irene Marie Hebert Vest, passed away in Riverview, Florida on April 15, 2021, at the age of 82.

Judith was a graduate of Iowa High School. She married Windell Ray Burchfield on January 21, 1958 and lived in many states due to Windell serving in the U. S. Airforce and settled in Hot Springs, Arkansas where they lived for over 40 years before moving to Riverview, Florida in 2017. She enjoyed arts, crafts and making rosaries to give to family and friends. Judith loved being with family, especially her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard “Dickie” Vest.

Survivors are her husband of 63 years, Windell Ray Burchfield; daughter, Diana Rains and husband, Chris of Norman, Oklahoma; sons, Dennis Burchfield and wife, Annie of Riverview, Florida and Darryl Burchfield and wife, Dora of Houston, Texas; brother, Don Vest and wife, Faye of Iowa, Louisiana; grandchildren, Rebecca; Christopher; Jonathan; Briana; Julia; Raymond and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 10 a.m. in St. Raphael Catholic Church in Iowa. Rev. Anthony Fontenot, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. and visitation will resume Saturday from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
