Judy Ann Italio, 79 of Sulphur passed away peacefully on July 13, 2024, in the comfort of her home. Judy was born July 28, 1944, in Iota, Louisiana to Lawrance and Helen Pousson.
Judy was a proud Navy wife who traveled the world with her loving husband, while he served our country for 21 years. She loved cooking, playing card games and Yahtzee while spending time with her family. She kept an impeccable house she was known to be “Squeaky Clean!” Some of her happiest times were watching and cheering on her grandchildren play sports and participating in other activities. She loved to attend Grandparent’s Day at the children’s schools and always made her grandchildren feel extra special.
After losing her husband, the true love of her life, she found peace sitting on the porch watching the squirrels, birds and tending to her beautiful plants.
Those left to cherish her memory; daughters, Ann (Charles) Vincent and Michelle (Butch) Maze and son, Kevin Italio; sisters, Margaret Durio, Carrie Pyzalski and Janie (Mike) Pierce; sister-in-law, Jane (Adrian) Camero; grandchildren, Joseph Vincent, Jacob Vincent, Joshua Vincent, Jessie Vincent, and Jenna Vincent, Wesley Maze, Mollie Maze, Charlie Maze and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrance Joseph Italio; parents, Lawrance Pousson, Sr., and Helen Pousson; brothers, Lawrance Pousson, Jr., Donald Pousson, Ronald Pousson and Michael Pousson.
A Mass of Christian Burial led by Canon Moreau, at St. Francis de Sales Oratory, Sulphur, La., will be at 9:30am, Tuesday, July 16, 2024, with a burial to follow at Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Jennings, La. The family will welcome friends from 5:00pm – 8:00pm, with a recitation of the Rosary at 6:00pm, Monday, July 15, 2024, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home, Sulphur, La.
The family would like to express thanks to Dr. Ronald Lewis, Lake Charles Memorial Hospital and Staff, Home Instead, Elara Caring, St. Joseph Hospice, all her caregivers that went above and beyond and her special coffee buddy, Mrs. Jane Truax.
