Julia Fontenot Miller

Julia F. Miller, born in Kinder on January 17, 1936, daughter of the late Elton and Laura Landry Fontenot, passed away in a local care facility on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the age of eighty-nine.
Julia worked at Imperial Health Clinic for seventeen years and was a member of Lighthouse Tabernacle in Sulphur. She enjoyed needle work, sewing, and reading.
She is preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Alvin Miller; daughter, Peggy Turner, son, Marty Magnuson; siblings, Elton Fontenot, Jr., Davis Fontenot, James Fontenot, and Frozine “Tickey” Benoit.
She is survived by her son, Kenny Magnuson and wife, Cindy; stepson, Paul Miller and wife, Lisa; numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
A gathering of friends and family will begin Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
