Julie Moon

Julie Delores Moon, 63, of Lake Charles passed away at 10:45 AM on Saturday, December 1, 2018 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Moon was born on March 6, 1955 in Lake Charles where she was a lifelong resident.  She was a graduate of St. Louis High School and attended McNeese State University.  Mrs. Moon worked in accounting for Lake Charles Memorial Hospital since 1986 until the time of her death.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 38 years, Jay Moon; mother, Rita Stutes; sisters, Jessica Stutes Hulin and Cynthia Stutes Ardoin (Phillip); brothers, Richard Stutes (Becky) and Bryan Stutes (Cherilyn Sweeney); niece Denise Hookstra (Stephen); nephews, Jason Hulin (Katherine), Michael Stutes (Leslie), David Ardoin (Melanie), and Jeff Ardoin (Ashley); eighteen great nieces and nephews; and two great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse J. Stutes; brother-in-law, Kenneth J. Hulin; and nephews, Eric Stutes and Steven Ardoin.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Ronnie Estes will officiate.  A gathering of family and friends will begin at 11:00 AM and will continue until the rosary begins at 1:30 PM.
