Justin Blaine Koonce, 31, of Lake Charles passed away, Monday, July 15, 2013 at his residence.
He was a native and lifelong residence of Lake Charles and a graduate of LaGrange Senior High School. Justin was an avid Saints Fan, outdoorsman, and loved cooking.
He is survived by his parents, Donnie and Sherrie (Holland) Koonce; sister, Kassie Kershaw and husband Sam and niece, Jenna Kershaw all of Lake Charles; maternal grandparents, A. J. and Patsy Holland of Bell City; paternal grandmother, Margie Koonce of Many; best friend, his dog, Mindy; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Collas Ray Koonce, Sr. and a Uncle, Larry Koonce.
His funeral will be at 11:00 AM, July 19, 2013 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Emmanuel Tanu will officiate. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM, and continue Friday from 9:00 AM until time of services in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family for final expenses.
