Kasandra "Sandy" Ann Trahan

Kasandra “Sandy” Ann Trahan, 48, of Carlyss passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, in Lake Charles.

Sandy was a graduate of Sulphur High School Class of 1992; she earned her Licensed Practical Nursing degree from Sowela Technical Community College. Sandy absolutely loved her career in nursing, she was employed with Urgent Care of Lake Charles. She was a member of Maplewood First Baptist Church. Sandy loved camping, fishing, cooking, entertaining for family and friends, and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. Family was most important to Sandy; her grandchildren were her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them.  She will be remembered for her vibrant personality and gift of never meeting a stranger, contagious smile that lit up a room, and being a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Dave Trahan of Carlyss; two daughters. Brittany Jacobs and her husband Nicholas of Sulphur, and Kristen Bellon of Sulphur; grandchildren, Braylin, Gracelynn, Nash, Amara, and Talia Jacobs, and Scarlett Bellon, with one more on the way; sisters, Kristi Lyons and her husband Kevin of Sulphur; Jennifer Petrikat and husband Chad of Pearland, Texas; brother John Toups, Jr. and husband, Tim of New York; and her stepmother, Gertie Toups.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Toups, Sr. and Kathy Kelley; and brother, David Toups.

Funeral Services honoring Sandy will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Johnson & Robison Funeral Home of Sulphur. Reverend Jeremy Blocker will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home 3pm – 8pm on Friday, April 1, 2022, and will resume at 8am- until time of service on Saturday.
