Katherine Celestine Randall, born in Lacassine on January 28, 1950, passed away in Houston on October 13, 2022, at the age of 72.
Funeral services are Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 11 a.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Burial will follow in Lorrain DeRouen Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins Saturday at 9 a.m.
Katherine owned a catering service. She enjoyed going to the casino and working outside.
Katherine is survived by her children, Anthony Simmons, and Tessie Celestine; companion, Pythias James Bradley; sisters, Joyce Broussard –Hathaway, LA, Apostle Audrey Celestine, Janice Barker Bradley (Michael) – Lake Charles, LA, Carleen Barker- Lacassine, LA, Verna Simon- Holy Springs, Mississippi, Antionetta Williams (Philip) and Connie Breaux-Lafayette, LA; brothers, Barry Keith Barker (Sabrina), Ike Dugas (Patricia)- Lake Charles, LA, Jay Aton Simon – Welsh, LA, Chris Simon (Sylvia)- North Carolina, Doyle Beverly – Oakland, California; sisters-in-law, Doris Celestine and Pamela Vital Celestine – Lake Charles, LA; 7 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Joseph Celestine and Rosa Lee Davis Barker; brothers, Jerome Celestine, Warren Celestine, Shelby Celestine, and Stephen Breaux; daughter, Katrina Simmons.
