Katheryn M. "Kathy" Breaux Sittig

Iowa –Katheryn M. “Kathy” (Breaux) Sittig, 72, was born November 12, 1944 in Lake Charles, the daughter of Charles W. “Bill” Breaux and Mary Margaret “Dolly” Morgan Breaux, passed away October 7, 2017 in her residence.
She is survived by her children, Greg Sittig and wife, Julie of Iowa, Rachel Quick and husband, Don of Sulphur, Randy Sittig (Leslie) of Iowa, Amanda Trahan and husband, Ricky of Iowa; brother, Daniel L. Breaux and wife, Mitzi of Chicago, Il; grandchildren, Jessica, Jacob, Emily, Paige and husband, Nick, Kathleen, Ryan, Lindsey, Kylee, Britney, Garrett and wife, Rae, and Grace; great-grandchildren, Laura, Miles, Franklin, Cambria, Damian, Avae, and Torin. She is predeceased by her husband, Ernest Joseph Sittig; her parents; siblings, Terry and Gwendolyn F. Breaux and grandson, Cory Sittig.
She was graduate of Iowa High School and Sowela Technical College. Her interests included traveling, French music, dancing, crossword puzzles, and playing Pokeno with her friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and wonderful friend to all.
A Mass of Christian burial will be in St. Raphael Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 11 a.m. with the Very Rev. Marcus Johnson, VF as the celebrant. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m., with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will resume Wednesday in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
