Lake Charles – Katy Sue Mallett, born April 21, 1980, daughter of the late Nolan and Della (Granger) Mallett, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 in a local hospital, at the age of 38.
Katy was a gifted photographer and enjoyed being with family. She and her husband, Andrew fostered 47 children throughout their 12 years of marriage.
She is survived by her husband, Andrew Harrelson of Lake Charles; children, Khrystian Noel Mallett and Tristian Allan-James Harrelson; siblings, Nolan Mallett, Jr. (Billie) of Shreveport, Darrell Mallett (Patsy) of Lake Charles, Douglas Mallett (Annie Jo) of Lake Charles, Henry Mallett (Katrina) of New Iberia, Tammy Gaspard (Daniel) of Iowa and Crystal Mallett of Slidell; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Celebration of Life services will be Sunday, September 30, 2018 in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa at 3 p.m. Gathering of friends and family will begin at 1 p.m.
Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
