Keith Holland, 63, passed away on July 16, 2026, surrounded by those who loved him.
Keith was a kind and generous man who never met a stranger. He was always willing to help anyone in need and was known for his strong work ethic and sharp mind. He had a great sense of humor and a way of understanding just about anything that was put in front of him. If Keith set his mind to something, he could do it.
An electrician by trade, Keith became a master electrician and high-voltage lineman. He spent many years working throughout Southwest Louisiana the Pacific Northwest, where he often worked from helicopters while repairing and maintaining power lines. He also traveled nationwide when power emergencies like natural disasters occurred. He loved being a lineman and took great pride in his work. Even after retiring, he never lost his interest in the trade. During hurricanes and power outages, he would drive around with his family, pointing out damaged power lines and explaining how they would need to be repaired.
Keith was a self-motivated man who enjoyed staying busy. He loved children, especially his nieces and nephews, and treasured the time he spent playing with them. He also loved to cook and was known as an excellent cook who enjoyed hosting family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory are his longtime friend and devoted caregiver, Dawn Long; his "Paw", Russel Long. Dawns children who he considered his own, Lauren Long, Kenzie Drake (Elliott), and a new grand baby "Banksy"; his brothers, Sherwin Holland (Nikki), Sherman Holland, and Sheldon Holland; his granddaughter, Gracelyn Holland; numerous nieces and nephews; and his faithful Papillon, Ziggy Mae.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rolland and Willie Mae Holland; his sons, Brandon Holland and Devin Holland; and his nephew, Tallen Holland.
Keith's funeral will be Thursday July 23, 2027 at 1:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff. With burial to follow at New Ritchie cemetery in Moss Bluff. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and last until the start of the service.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff of Harbor Hospice for the compassionate care and kindness they showed Keith during his final days.
Keith will be remembered as a hardworking man with a generous heart, a quick smile, and a willingness to help anyone who crossed his path.
