It is with both heavy hearts and deep gratitude that we announce the passing of Kenneth "Butch" Wayne Ardoin on August 23, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on January 5, 1952, in Sulphur, Louisiana, Kenneth dedicated his life to service, family, and the joyous pursuit of hobbies that brought him happiness. Butch's first love was serving God and his community. He was actively involved at the First Baptist Church of Sulphur, where he volunteered countless hours to assist with repairs and improvements. His generous spirit was felt deeply as he provided handyman services for widows and participated in activities that uplifted the homeless community.Butch's second love was his family. A devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather, he cherished spending time with his loved ones, visiting them daily and supporting them in every aspect of their lives. Kenneth's caring nature and joyful presence created lasting memories for his daughter, Monica (James) Tingle; his son, Aaron (Ashley) Ardoin; his beloved sisters, Bonnie (Jimmy) Simon and Shirley Guidry; and his brother, Trent Stroupe;. He also leaves behind a legacy of love in his grandchildren-Asia (Tanner) Daugereaux, Jake Myers, Ezekiel Ardoin, Isaiah Ardoin, Issac Ardoin, Roman Ardoin, and Avery Tingle-as well as his great-grandchildren, Zayden Daugereaux , Rayne Daugereaux; numerous nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Henry and Lena Guillot Ardoin, his son; Daniel Ardoin, his sisters; Annette Wilson, Jeri Sullivan; and his brother, Jimmy Guidry.
Butch had a zest for life that was reflected in his many passions. He enjoyed playing pool, riding his Harley, and taking trips with his lifelong friends. Every year, he looked forward to his annual voyage to Las Vegas, where memories were created among friends over laughter and camaraderie.A memorial service celebrating Butch's incredible life will be held on August 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Sulphur, with a memorial visitation beginning at 9:00 AM.
