Kenneth "Kenny" Charles Semar

Bell City – Kenneth Charles Semar, born June 28, 1959, son of Charles Lee and Mary Jane (Leger) Semar, passed away in his residence, Friday, May 15, 2020 at the age 60.
Kenny graduated from Bell City and worked as a diesel mechanic. He was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Kenny enjoyed baseball, rodeo’s and tinkering on things. But most of all, he loved spending time with his grandkids.
Survivors are his wife, Tammie Sue Semar; mother, Mary Jane Semar; children, Kristy Nicole Dockins (Jacob); Lance Semar (Chelsea) and Damon Semar (Christy), all of Holmwood; siblings, Pam Gauthreaux (Carl); Janet Darbonne (Gerald); Walter Semar (Charlotte) and Johnny Semar; 9 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father; sister, Mildred Semar; in-laws, Barbara & Ronald Harrington.
A Mass of Christian burial is Monday, May 18, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. in St. John Vianney, Bell City, Rev. John Payne, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lorrain DeRouen Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins Sunday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m., with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. and will resume Monday in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. Pallbearers assisting in his service are Damon; Lance; Jacob; George; Marcus; Walter; Levi; Kylor; Waylon.
