Kermit "Don" Guidry

Kermit “Don” Guidry, 79, of Lake Charles passed away at 5:00 AM on Friday, November 15, 2019 in a Jennings Veteran’s Home.

Mr. Guidry was born on February 1, 1940 in Rayne, LA.  He worked in the oil field all of his life.  Mr. Guidry was a devoted and involved member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven where he served as an usher and volunteered his time for numerous church actives and functions.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Carol Guidry of Lake Charles; son, Ben Guidry (Heather) of Lake Charles; sister, Laura Cormier of Lafayette; and two grandchildren, Madelyn and Mason Guidry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Laura and Mason Guidry.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.  Monsignor Daniel Torres will officiate.  Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
