Kevin Todd Creel, 66, of Lake Charles passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025 in his residence following a brief illness.
He was born on September 21, 1959, in Lake Charles, where he lived all of his life. He was a graduate of Barbe High School and worked in the construction industry.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. His love for hunting and fishing allowed for many opportunities to travel with his friends and family to pursue these outdoor sports. When he wasn’t hunting, fishing, or shooting pool, he could be found spending time with family, lifetime friends and constantly making new ones.
A lifelong sports fan, Kevin was a dedicated fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Houston Astros.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of nearly 40 years, Carol Creel; his beloved daughter, Cydney Creel; his mother, Kaye Thomas Creel; sister, Lisa Creel Morgan (Ray Jr.) and their son, Devin Morgan; in laws, Liz, Donna, and Mark Karcher and their spouses and children; and a special cousin who was more like a brother, Shane Stoker.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Creel.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 8, 2025 in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel. Jerry Bragg will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM and continue until the start of the service.
