Kevin Mark Fournerat

Kevin Mark Fournerat, 67, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 7, 2023, in a local hospital. He was born on May 1, 1956, in Lake Charles to Lincoln Charles Fournerat and Katherine Shaw Fournerat. Kevin grew up in Lake Charles and attended Barbe High School. He worked tirelessly in the construction industry as a painter, sheet rock finisher, and other types of work. He retired in 2004 and then dedicated his time to helping his family and friends in their time of need. He was a kindhearted, caring, and compassionate man who was loyal to those he knew and loved.

Kevin is survived by his siblings, Keitha Fournerat Fontenot (Charles), David Fournerat (Denise), and Mary Fournerat Cox (Tommy), sister-in-law, Patty Berlin Fournerat, and his ‘forever in his heart’ fur baby, Silver. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will always hold a special place in their hearts for Kevin.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Jana Trahan and Elizabeth Rose Estaville; his parents; and his brothers, Larry, Clement, and Daniel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at 2:00 pm, at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, with Msgr. Daniel Torres as Celebrant. He will be laid to rest in Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley, LA. Visitation will take place at Johnson Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 11:00AM till 1:00PM, with a Rosary at 1:00PM before leaving in procession to the church. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
