Welsh – Keysha Anne Henning LeBlanc, born September 6, 1973, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025, after a 13-year battle with cancer. She was 51.
Keysha was a daughter, sister, mother, wife, cousin, granddaughter, aunt, friend, and “Glammy.” She cherished her time with family and friends.
A graduate of Welsh High School, she obtained her nursing degree from Sowela Technical College in Jennings. She worked for 26 years with Jeff Davis M. D. Home Care.
She enjoyed jeeping with her sister, camping with her family, listening to music, dancing and going to the beach. Keysha also loved cheering on the LSU Tigers. Most of all, she loved spending time with her friends and grandbabies.
Keysha will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her love of family, friends and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 26 years, Darren LeBlanc; parents, Oliver “Biff” and Rebecca Howard Henning; children, Jacob Paul Doucet (Haley), Kaylan Henning Doucet (Kegan), and Ryan Austin LeBlanc (Grace); sister, Kaye Henning; grandchildren, Lyla Doucet, Eleanor LeBlanc, Levi LeBlanc, and Oliver Doucet; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends galore. She is also survived by her beloved pet, Otis.
Funeral services will be held in First Baptist Church of Welsh Thursday, May 8, 2025 at 11 a.m. Rev. Pat Deshotel, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will begin in the church on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and resume Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Pallbearers assisting in her service are Ryan, Jacob, Taylor, Kegan, Cameron, Jordan, and Landon.
The family would like to thank the staff Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, Ochsner Hospital and East Jefferson Hospital for taking excellent care of Keysha.
