Kris “Krispy” Allan Parker, born October 14, 1959, in Hammond, Indiana, later made his home in Sulphur, Louisiana. He passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.
Kris never met a stranger. If he walked into a room, you could count on him filling it with laughter. He had a gift for stand-up comedy, quick wit, and finding humor in just about anything. Life with Kris wasn’t just lived it was performed. His personality could turn even an ordinary moment into something unforgettable.
He had a true love for adventure. Whether it was skydiving, riding roller coasters, or heading to a concert, Kris believed life was meant to be experienced at full volume and maybe just a little bit faster than recommended.
More importantly, Krispy was a man of deep and genuine faith. Through his work with Friend Ships Ministry, along with his side kick Kermit, he traveled the world serving others and spreading the word of God. He didn’t just preach kindness he lived it, leaving a lasting impact everywhere he went.
Out of all his accomplishments, nothing meant more to him than his family. His face would light up at the mention of his daughter and granddaughters. They were, without question, his proudest achievement and greatest joy.
In 2022, Kris faced serious illness with courage, strength, and true to form, likely a joke or two. On July 20, 2024, he was given a second chance at life through a liver transplant, a gift made possible by the selfless generosity of a donor whose life and legacy will forever be honored by our family.
Krispy leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, faith, and unforgettable memories. While his family and friends will miss him deeply, there’s comfort in knowing Heaven just gained our favorite comedian and things are about to get a whole lot more entertaining up there.
He is survived by his loving mother, Ellee Heaton; his daughter, Krystal Chaisson (Justin); his cherished granddaughters, Claire Parker (Carlton) and Abby Parker (Blaise), grandpup, Buddy and his brother, John Petro. He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Parker, and his beloved sister, Trista Parker Durbin.
Services for Kris will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 1 PM at Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur with Pastor Dwayne Daigle officiating. Burial will follow at Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10 AM until the time of service.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Ochsner Transplant Institute, Dr. Young, Kadi Malek, Dr. Shaikh, Dr. Broussard, and Harbor Hospice for their compassionate and exceptional care.
