Lacy LaVergne

Lacy LaVergne, 51, of Sulphur, passed away on January 15, 2026, in her home.

Lacy was one of the sweetest women anyone could know. She had a gentle heart, a great sense of humor, and a deep sensitivity to the needs of others. Lacy was a devoted animal lover, with a special affection for dogs and cats. She was also the mother to her only child Kylie LaVergne Broussard, whom she adored and happily spoiled.

In her younger years, Lacy was a thrill seeker who fully embraced life. She had a lifelong love of music, especially classic rock and '90s country, and music was always a part of her daily life. She also loved to read and had a special fondness for romance novels. Musically gifted, Lacy played the piano and clarinet, and she proudly passed that talent on to her daughter, who plays the flute.

Lacy is survived by her only child, Kylie LaVergne Broussard (Dylan); her father, Hubert LaVergne (Paula); her mother, Julie Ann LaVergne; her brothers, Jeff LaVergne (Monica) and Cody LaVergne; her stepbrother, Matt Brungardt (Brandi); her niece, Jade LaVergne; her step-nephews, Ethan and Jacob Brungardt; and her great-niece, Kida Briery.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lee and Dolores Derouen and Milton and Elsie LaVergne; and her uncle, Harold LaVergne.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 1:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow at New Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff, Louisiana.
