Lana Grout, 82, born to Eve and Maurius Manuel on September 11, 1938, went to meet our Loving Lord, who she adored so much on November 19, 2020.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, November 23, 2020 at 11 a.m. in St. Raphael Catholic Church. The Very Rev. Anthony Fontenot, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home.
Visitation will begin Sunday, November 22, 2020 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home and resume Monday from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
Lana was a life-long resident of Iowa. She graduated from Iowa High School and continued her education to receive a License in Cosmetology, where she made everyone look and feel beautiful for over 50 years.
Lana worked as a Hairdresser at Karla’s Family Hair Design for 25 years. She loved her clients and co-workers as family. She faithfully attended 4 o’clock mass on Saturdays at St. Raphael. She was actively involved in Junior Catholic Daughters.
Left to cherish the wonderful memories of Lana are her daughter, Tracy Winfrey and husband, Richard of Iowa; granddaughters, Courtney Haley and husband, Doug of Iowa; Shelly Jenkins and husband, Benton of Westlake; Lauren Gillard and husband, Justin of Iowa; great-grandchildren who were the apple of her eye, Aidan; Zack; and Kynlee Jenkins; Carsyn and Mason Haley and Oakley Gillard; sisters, Caroline Vest; brother, Herman Manuel and wife, Patsy; sister-in-law, Joe Berry and Sally Spencer and husband, Joe. As well as many nieces; nephews and other family and friends.
Lana is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter Chase Grout; beautiful daughter, Crystal Lewis; precious grandson, Chase Fontenot; her loving mother and father, Eve and Maurius Manuel; sweet sister, Verian Sibille.
