Larry Dean Breaux, 60, of Sulphur, LA, passed away peacefully at his home on Calcasieu River Sunday evening, December 11, 2016. Larry was retired from the United States Postal Service and was proud of being a postman. He was a 1974 graduate of Sulphur High School. Larry was an avid outdoorsman and he so loved duck hunting. He will be missed by all who called him Uncle Larry and friend. Larry was a member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church.
Larry is survived by his mom, Mary Jane Breaux of Sulphur; two brothers, Tommy Breaux and wife Katy of Carlyss and Robert Breaux of Sulphur; one brother in law, Greg Chaisson; five nieces, Staci Midkiff and husband Eric, Sara Chaisson, Sheryl Chaisson, Tiffany Mulkey and husband Wade, and Kaitlyn Breaux; one nephew, Matthew Breaux; three great nieces, Payton and Brylee Midkiff and Olivia Mulkey; and two great nephews, Leighton and Hadyn Midkiff; and Brenda Scarborough, a very special person in Larry’s life. Larry was preceded in death by his father, Jim Breaux and his sister, Brenda Chaisson.
Services for Larry will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 10 AM at Our Lady of LaSalette Church in Sulphur with Father Andrews Kollannoor, M.S. officiating. Burial will follow at Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 11-9 PM with a rosary at 7 PM and will resume on Friday morning from 8-9:30 AM at the funeral home.
Pall bearers will be Max Broussard, Neal Hebert, Bill Fontenot, Brad Bonin, Gary Tyler and Gary Fox.
Larry touched so many lives and will be truly missed.
Rest in Peace for the Lord is my Light and my Salvation.
