Larry J. Granger, born December 13, 1944, son of the late Edward and Ida Mae (Arceneaux) Granger, passed away in a local hospital Sunday, October 6, 2019, at the age of 74.
Larry graduated from Bell City and worked for the Jeff Davis Parish Police Jury in the maintenance department as a heavy equipment operator. He loved old clocks, vegetable gardens, fishing and mechanic work.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Nell (Marcantel) Granger; daughter, Joella “Jo” Chadwick (Bradley); sons, Robert Granger; David Granger (Laura); Benny Granger; sister, Elizabeth LeBlanc; brothers, Charles Wayne Granger; John Edward Granger; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Nathan Robert Granger.
Funeral services are Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 10 a.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Broussard Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. and will resume Wednesday from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m.
