Larry James Guidry

Lacassine – Larry James Guidry, born on February 26, 1949, son of the late Alex and Edith (LaBauve) Guidry, passed away in his residence on Thursday, December 10, 2020, at the age of 71.

Larry was a graduate of Lacassine High School and a self-employed contractor/carpenter/rancher. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist in Lacassine. Larry was a simple man who loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He enjoyed most out of life working, building and playing with his cows. Being on the farm was his passion.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda Foreman Guidry; sons, Jody Guidry (Virginia); Jeremy Guidry (Leslie) and Joel Guidry (Marcela); siblings, Gerald Guidry (Jovita); Ricky Guidry (Trisha); Paul Lynn Guidry (Celena); Ella Thayer (Herb); precious grandchildren, Katelyn; Cade; Hayley (Dylan); Kameron; Macey; Anna; Elena and Cristina and great-grandchild, Brookelyn.


Funeral services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 12 p.m. with Monsignor James Gaddy, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Friday in Johnson and Brown Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a Celebration of Life at 6 p.m. and resume on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.
