Larry Joe Newingham Sr.

Larry Joe Newingham, Sr., 58, of Lake Charles, LA, died on September 25, 2017 in his residence.

Mr. Newingham was born February 13, 1959 in Beaver, OK, and lived most of his life in Alexandria, LA before moving to Lake Charles three years ago. He worked as an Air Conditioning Technician and loved to spend his time outdoors. He also enjoyed fishing and will always be remembered for his fun loving personality.

Mr. Newingham is survived by his son, Larry Newingham, Jr. and wife Kara of Lake Charles; daughters, Christina Greer of Alexandria, LA and Gentry Hudgins of Jacksonville, FL; father, Billy Joe Newingham and wife Jeanette of Alexandria, LA; sisters, Angela Newingham of Lake Charles and Floy Mae Warren of Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Benjamin Newingham; mother, Edwina Colvin; and brother, William Newingham.

His funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 9, 2017 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Seth Donald will officiate. Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park. A gathering of family members and friends will be on Monday from 11:00 AM until the start of the service.
