Larry Louvier

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Larry Louvier, who left this world on October 27, 2026, at home, peacefully with his wife and daughter by his side. Larry was a man who truly enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He enjoyed listening to his vinyl records on his console stereo that he bought over 60 years ago. He also had a passion for vintage vehicles, especially Fords. Above all, Larry cherished his family. Perhaps second only to being called Dad, his favorite titles were Pops or Papa. Names who wore proudly when spending time with his granddaughter and great granddaughters. Larry was blessed with a naturally jolly disposition and a wonderful sense of humor. He had a way of bringing a little sunshine into any room and was rarely without a smile or a joke to share. He loved a good laugh, making others laugh, and had a special knack for making people feel welcome. His cheerful spirit, quick wit, and warm personality will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary Granger Louvier; his daughter, Paula Louvier; his granddaughter, Lexus Louvier Martin; his grandson in law, Alex Martin; his great granddaughters, Brynlee and Blayke Martin. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman Andrew Louvier, Sr. and Ida Mae Guidry Louvier; and his brother, Herman Andrew Louvier, Jr.

Memorials services will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at 3 PM at Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until the time of service.

The family would like to thank Julie and Tim Glasco and Doris and Everett Trosclair, Donnie and Monica Stinson and Liz Louvier for all of their helping during Larry’s illness.
