Lawrence Edward Bourque, 73, of Lake Charles, LA died at 3:40 AM on Thursday, October 11, 2012 in a local care facility.
Mr. Bourque was born September 7, 1939 in Eunice, LA and attended St. Landry High School, where he enjoyed boxing for a number of years. He worked as a pipefitter out of Olin Arch Chemicals for thirty years, retiring in 2005 at the age of sixty-five years old. He was a member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and camping.
Mr. Bourque is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Eula Mae Ann Amie Bourque; step-son, Joseph Leroy Boudreaux; sister, Audrey A. Rico of Anacoco, LA; brother, William Kenneth Bourque and wife Karen of Houston, TX; and three step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Regile John Bourque, Sr. and Lillie Guillory Bourque; and two brothers, Ronald Dale Bourque and Regile John Bourque, Jr.
His memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Father Wayne LeBleu will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. As per his wishes, his body was donated to science.
