Jimmy was born in Lake Charles on August 4, 1954 to Rixby and Irene Trahan. He was a graduate of Iowa High School. He was a member of CFMA and enjoyed playing music and puzzles.
Survivors include his mother, Irene Babineaux Trahan; sons; Samuel Trahan and wife Crystal, Cody Trahan and wife Mada; step-daughters, Kayla Bellard and husband Brian, Jamie Louviere; sisters, Jeanette Landry, Margaret Fontenot and husband Ronald, Melissa Mallet and husband Phil; sister in laws, Pam Trahan, Lea Trahan; 10 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Rixby Trahan and brothers, Bobby Paul Trahan and Charles Wayne Trahan
Funeral services will be in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home on Monday, September 4, 2017 at 10 a.m. with Father Roland Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation begins Sunday, September 3, 2017 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. in Johnson and Brown Funeral Home and will continue Monday in the funeral home at 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. Services are under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home.
