Lawrence Henry Mallett, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023, in Abbeville. Mr. Mallett was born on September 26, 1968 to Nolan and Della Mae Mallett in Lake Charles.
He was a commercial fisherman for most of his life and loved the water.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Crystal Mallett and Kathy Harrelson; grandparents, Lawrence Mallett and Loretta LeJeune, Landry and Adelia Granger.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Katrina Mallett; stepchildren, Timothy Morvant, Hope Morvant, and Helen Broussard; sister, Tammy (Daniel) Gaspard; three brothers, Nolan “Peewee” (Billie) Mallett, Douglas (Annie) Mallett, and Darrell “Gator” (Patsy) Mallett; nieces, Donnerae, Katelyn, Kathy, and Khrystian; nephews, Joseph James, Dakota, Derick, Joshua, Jimbo, Jamie, Joey, Tanner, and Tristian; godchildren, Hope Mallett, and Danielle (Derick) Foreman.
A gathering of family and friends will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m.
