Layne Miller Granger, 56, of Lake Charles passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2019, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Granger was born on May 25, 1962 to the late Lenus and Peggy Walton Miller in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Mrs. Granger was a 1980 graduate of LaGrange High School. She was a longtime dispatcher and bookkeeper in the trucking industry. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and cooking and was an avid viewer of the cooking channel.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of sixteen years, Richard W. Granger; children, Alexis Harvey, Jayce Badeaux, and Katelyn Harvey; siblings, Len Miller, Lisa Leger, and Sheila Smith; and grandchildren, Tyler Thibodeaux, Rion Kunz and Vance Badeaux. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Consolata Cemetery. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
