Lederle Davis Taylor

Lederle Elizabeth Davis Taylor, born December 7, 1947, passed away on August 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Lederle was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, but grew up just a few minutes north in Slidell. She was a 1965 graduate of Slidell High School and eventually moved to Lake Charles in 1983. She raised her children and family here in the Lake Area and was a faithful member of Water's Edge Church, a place that she loved dearly.

LeDerle is survived by her children, Dina Lopez (Aaron) and Tracy Prince (Rocky); her ten grandchildren, Corey Lopez (Kayla), Mea Richard (Trent), Hannah Breaux (Kolby), Shaw Prince (Vynessie), Gennah Simon (Hayden), Brannen Prince (Madison McCall), Bryer Prince, Kacey Prince, Barrett Prince, and Bullock Prince; Great-grandchildren, Brayden, Lettie, Lena Mae Lopez, Della and Corrin Richard, Caroline, Kinsley, Kamille, Kolston, baby Breaux who is on the way; her brother in law Berry Patterson; and her signifcant other Johnny Morgan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Lena Davis, and her sister Delphine Patterson. As well as her beloved dogs Blackie, Jack, Beaux, and Cooper.

A memorial service for Lederle will be Wednesday August 26, 2026 at 4:00 pm at Johnson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff. Visitation will begin at 3:00 pm and last until the start of the service.
