Lee Clancy Bellon, 87, of Moss Bluff passed away at 3:50 AM, Thursday, July 07, 2016 in a local care center.
He was a native of Mamou, LA and lived most of his life in Violet, LA prior to moving to Moss Bluff. Mr. Bellon served in the United States Navy and was a Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Veterans of World War II and served as Commander of Post #32 in 1957-1958 in Violet, LA. Mr. Bellon was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Violet and served as a Eucharist Minister and also was an active member of the Violet Lions Club. He owned and operated Bellon’s Barber Shop in Violet.
He is survived by his wife, Deola Guillory of Lake Charles; four sons, Randy Bellon and wife Jennifer of Moss Bluff; Glenn Bellon and wife Nancy of Lake Charles; David Bellon and wife Sandra of Orange, TX, and Keith Bellon and wife Charlotte of Magnolia, TX; two daughters, Susan Stidham and husband Butch of Conroe, TX and Jenny Hammontree and husband Dan of Slidell, LA; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren; three sisters, Helen Miska of Montgomery, AL; Freida Moraros of Nashua, NH, and Dorothy O’Quinn of Sulphur; numerous nieces and nephews; and several step-children. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Ovaline Duplechain Hebert; his second wife Della M. Bellon; son, Terrance Bellon and his parents, Jimmie and Neda Bellon.
His funeral service will be, Sunday, July 10, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon George Carr will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Saturday, with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM and continue from 9:00 AM until time of services, Sunday, in the funeral home.
