Leona Mae Fruge

Leona Fruge, 67, of Lake Charles, LA died Friday, August 7, 2015 in her residence. Leona was born on July 11, 1948 in Lake Charles, LA to Curtis and Dorothy Newman. She enjoyed being around family and friends. She also enjoyed playing bingo. Leona was a lady with an easy going spirit. She is survived by her three loving children, James Virgilio, Joseph Fruge, and Jennifer Fruge; long time friend and companion Betty LeBlanc; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters, Dorothy Suire and Peggy Laughlin; and two brothers, Larry Newman and Roy Hebert; and one dear friend Clancy Mullins. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. George Glass will officiate services. Burial will be at Prien Memorial Park.
