Lifelong Lake Charles resident Leonard Ray Bourque, 78, departed this life on Thursday, May 21, 2026. He drew his final breaths surrounded by his sons Steven and Paul, and his daughters-in-law Emily and Linda.
Leonard started his young adult life in the Navy, where he was stationed in Hawaii. Later, Leonard spent his life working on the open road as a career semi-truck driver. He was a full-patched good-standing member of the Tribe Motorcycle Club since 2013 and served as the Vice President for the last year.
Born on February 22, 1948, to Ernest and Agnes Bourque. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Bourque; his parents; and his siblings, Mabrey Bourque, Una Leger, and Raymond Bourque.
His remaining family includes his three sons, Lane Bourque of Port Arthur, TX; Steven (Emily) Bourque of Whitwell, TN; and Paul (Linda) Bourque of Jasper, TN; three granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; two living sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of his life on Saturday, June 6,2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in Iowa, LA. Inurnment will follow at Old Ritchie Cemetery. Gathering of family and friends will begin Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
