Leroy J. Savoie, Sr.

Leroy J. Savoie, Sr., 77, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 4:55 AM on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 in a Baton Rouge care facility.

Mr. Savoie was born November 22, 1942 in Leonville, LA and lived the past forty years in Lake Charles. He worked for over twenty-five years offshore for Exxon Mobil. Following his retirement, he worked fifteen years as a painter with the family business, Thibodeaux Painting. Mr. Savoie enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Hilda Savoie; son, Leroy Savoie, Jr.; brothers, Emery Savoy and wife Jeri and Paul Savoie and wife Bobbie; sister, Jeanette Powell and husband Bill; one grandchild; and numerous nephews.

Mr. Savoie was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Della Lanclos Savoie; sisters, Shirley Fitzgerald and Tracy Roy; and one grandchild.

His cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
